Why Living An Aligned Life Matters

Have you ever experienced times where you felt “off”? As though many things in your life just haven’t been flowing as well as they could be? There is a reason behind all of this - your life may be out of alignment.

Sometimes, we come to points (which are completely normal) where we feel as though our life has shifted off its tracks. What was once important to us slowly steers into the back burner. Or, we find that what we have in place at the moment is causing us to feel overwhelmed and burnt out. This is exactly why making time to come back and realign your life is so important.

I will take you through a few different things that you could do to help align your life so you feel refreshed and back on the road to living your best life.

  • Be okay with change

In life, nothing is permanent. Things change because they are supposed to. If you find that you are being overwhelmed by all that’s happening in your life - remember that this could be a great thing.

The universe never hands anything to us that we cannot handle. If you’re not uncomfortable, you’re not growing.

Change is good. Welcome change and accept that it’s here to open new doors for you. It’s here because you’re ready for it.

  • Open your mind to help and guidance

There is so much knowledge to be shared and information available out there in this world. It’s up to you to seek out what you want to know and accept it.

Often we might fear that we “already know” what someone has to tell us. The fact is, that could not be more wrong.

Everyone has lived different lives, seen different things and walked along different journeys in life. People all around the world have cultivated their life's work into books or podcasts ready for you at your fingertips. It’s okay to seek a guide or have someone show you what they learned. It will only deepen your mind and create a new understanding within yourself.

  • Create quality time within yourself

I cannot stress this enough - finding time to spend with yourself is so important. I’m not talking about on your phone, or watching a movie. I mean, real reflective time to yourself. Self-reflection is one of the best ways to help shift your mindset. It’s so important for our mental health and wellbeing, and can increase positivity in our lives, as well as deepening the connection to yourself.

Is there something that’s cluttering your mind? If there’s something that’s pushing you down or causing you to feel overwhelmed, this is the perfect time to treat yourself to a calm, peaceful setting.

Crack open your journal or Gratitude Planner and take whatever is going on inside, and get it out - down on paper.

Your inner self deserves to be heard and listened to. Make sure you are listening and find ways to resolve some issues or tensions you could be holding.

  • Align your values with your purpose

At times, sometimes what we value the most aren’t being met due to life circumstances. It’s important to assess your core values and see if your life is lining up.

For example, let’s say you value your quality time with family. When you re-examine your past couple weeks and realize that you haven’t spent time with your loved ones recently, you can make the appropriate next steps to change that.

Finding different ways to make sure those values are being met are a great way to feel fulfilled in those areas of your life.

  • Speak to yourself with love and positive affirmations
The thing is, our subconscious chooses how we perceive the world. If your inner self views yourself, others and situations negatively, that’s what your reality will become. In contrast, affirmations help transform your reality into a positive light. This will, in turn, attract more positive opportunities into your life. Positive affirmations manifest your dreams into your reality.

  • Reflect on your current life and pay gratitude

At times, we lose focus on what we currently have which results in us feeling incomplete and off balance.

This results in slipping into unhealthy habits because we are searching for what it is that completes us.

For example, spending spree or overeating etc. This is caused by not allowing ourselves to truly see what it is that’s already in front of us.

Take a moment every day for gratitude and take in what’s currently around you. What are you happy about, at this very moment? Describe and write down three things that make you proud of your current situation.

Doing so, could lead to you feeling more comfortable with the present. This will lead to you feeling happier and more positive about your life.

Living in alignment is a constant practice. With living intentionally every day, you can form healthy, positive habits that help bring peace into your life.

Your life is so special and is made up of so many segments that contribute to your overall well-being.

It is ultimately up to you to decide what makes you happy and how you can implement these strategies to live to your standards.

Believe in yourself enough to make changes to enrich your life. Have a great time living in alignment.
