Are These 5 Habits Lowering Your Vibration?

We have all adopted habits throughout our lives based on how we have been conditioned and unfortunately, a lot of that conditioning may not be a true reflection of who we are, so they become toxic to our nature.

While many habits will help raise your vibration, a lot of toxic ones will lower it. That’s why it’s so important to become mindful of your daily pattern, actions and behaviours because you’re probably not even aware that those unhealthy habits are continuing to lower your vibration day after day.

Unless we become aware of them and make the shift to remove them, they will continue to add toxicity to our lives and drain our positive energy.

A person who is vibrating at a low frequency is in a negative headspace. Signs of a low vibration person includes:

  • Moody, including feeling depressed and anxious
  • Insecurity and fear
  • Quick to respond with anger
  • Ungrounded
  • Complains a lot
  • Fatigue and little energy
  • Ungrateful
  • Unhealthy with little self-care
  • Feeling stuck in life
  • Make a lot of poor choices
  • Feelings of always being the victim

On the other hand, signs of a high vibration person include positivity, happiness, inner peace, energy, and good health!

Here are 5 habits that you may be doing that are toxic and lowering your vibes.

  1. Doing Things That Go Against Your Core Values

Your core values are your truth. When you act in a way that dishonours them, you are not being your authentic self. And when you are not being true to yourself, you are essentially lowering your vibration. Pay attention to your behaviours and patterns and ensure that they align with your true beliefs. For example, let’s say you value your quality time with family. When you re-examine your past couple weeks and realize that you haven’t spent time with your loved ones recently, you can make the appropriate next steps to change that.

  1. Negative People & Thoughts

Negativity is a major low vibration level. That both counts for having a negative mindset and spending time with negative people. Both will drain your energy and leave you feeling low and unmotivated.

Become mindful of your thoughts. Do you usually complain a lot and generally have a negative outlook on life? And, what about the people you spend time with, how do they make you feel?

  1. Mindless Activities

Do you continually check your phone throughout the day, or aimlessly scroll through social media? Perhaps you watch a reality TV show or read a gossip magazine instead of doing something else you should be doing? Mindless activities that don’t provide any real stimulation evoke a fear based emotion and are draining your energy, which can make you feel worse about yourself, and lower your vibrational frequency. Focus on activities that bring you joy, align with your purpose, and your wellbeing and self-care, such as exercising, reading, listening to a podcast, journaling, calling a friend, or whipping up a new recipe.

  1. Making Decisions Based On Fear

Every action you take, and every decision you make, should come from a place of trust and love. Comparing yourself to others, judging other people or yourself, choosing a career based on fear, worrying about the future, engaging in drama, or trying to impress someone else instead of yourself, are all forms of fear and will decrease your vibrational frequency dramatically. Don’t allow fear to motivate you - let love guide you and trust that when you are motivated by love, everything will fall into place

  1. Not Getting Enough Sleep

Sleep is so important for your wellbeing. It’s something we all need, but rarely ever get enough of. How often have you woke up in a bad mood after a night of tossing and turning? It’s no secret that sleep plays an important role in good physical and mental health. Sleep deprivation can leave you feeling irritable and exhausted in the short-term, but it can also have serious long-term health consequences as well. All in all, not getting enough sleep will lower your vibration. Try these tips to help lessen those sleepless nights.

The above are just a few examples of some common habits that may be lowering your vibration. It’s important you reflect on your actions and behaviours to determine what is not aligning and bringing down your vibrational frequency.

Remember, anything that is not aligned with truth, love, connection, and compassion is going to lower your vibration.  Try to stay away from the above activities and habits so that you can feel more joy, peace, and freedom in your life.
